Florida Certified Electrical Examination Dates
Construction Exams: The Business & Finance exam is a computer based exam taken at Pearson-Vue computer centers which are located across the nation. You apply to PTI (www.floridaexam.com), then you will receive an authorization letter which you need before you schedule your exam time/date with Pearson-Vue.
The Technical Exams (Trade Knowledge) are administered by the state in Tallahassee, Orlando, and Miami. You apply to PTI (www.floridexam.com) and your will receive an admittance slip prior to your test date.
Electrical Exams: You will be required to take two exams - the Business & Finance exam and the Technical exam for your category -- both of which are computer based exams taken at Pearson-Vue computer centers. You apply to the DBPR/Electrical Board, then you will receive an authorization letter to call Pearson-Vue to schedule your exam(s).
